DARIEN, Conn. (February 4, 2013)—William Raveis, chairman and chief executive officer of William Raveis Real Estate, today announced the promotion of Jake Fay to Sales Manager of the firm’s Darien office.

Jake Fay“On behalf of the entire William Raveis family, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to Jake on his promotion to Sales Manager of William Raveis’ Darien office,” said Mr. Raveis. “Jake and our company share many of the same values, including a focus on customer satisfaction. He is a talented professional, and I am excited to celebrate his new position.”

Fay is no stranger to Darien and frequently visits his brother Jason, his sister-in-law Dina and their two children, James and Grace, at their home in Darien. If you recognize him, it’s probably from the Darien High School field, where Fay coached Darien Parks Recreation Flag Football for third grade boys in 2007 or from Hindley Elementary School, where he coached the Darien Youth Basketball for middle school boys and girls in 2010.

Having a passion for supporting sales agents in all aspects of their real estate endeavors, Fay looks forward to his new position in the Darien office. “I grew up in Connecticut and I am truly passionate about helping to grow and drive William Raveis’ presence in the state,” said Fay. “I’m excited to join the Darien team, and look forward to working with our agents to help them achieve their career goals.”

In his new position, Fay will help drive growth in the Darien office. “Working with Bill Raveis, a passionate CEO with a firm commitment to the town and people of Darien, I am confident that we will be able  to provide unmatched service to our clients and agents, and bring the Darien office to the position of market leader, as in many of our surrounding markets,” continued Fay.

With a solid foundation in both real estate and finance, Fay’s promotion to Sales Manager marks the next step in an already successful career. Prior to joining William Raveis in August as an Associate Sales Manager, he was a top-producing Sales Associate with Sotheby’s International Realty for more than four years. Fay also has a background in finance, having worked on Wall Street as an equity trader for more than five years prior to moving in to real estate. Fay is a graduate of the Taft School and holds a Bachelor of the Arts in economics from Wesleyan University.

Fay holds several credentials, including from the National Association of REALTORS, the Connecticut Association of REALTORS, the Mid-Fairfield County Association of REALTORS, the Darien Board of REALTORS and the Consolidated Multiple Listing Service.
